Well, last night there was a birthday in the family and we celebrated at Matt’s El Rancho. I had a Sangria Margarita (frozen lime margarita with a sangria float) and a Matt’s Knockout Martini (agave milagro reposado tequila, cointreau and fresh lime juice). Knockout is a good name for it. It unexpectedly had me down for the count. I guess it’s because I haven’t had many libations lately. Fast forward to this morning and my #1 goal is to re-hydrate! Operation Re-hydration! Enter Raspberry Mint Lime Infused Water.

To make this subtle and refreshing beverage combine a tall glass of filtered ice water with muddled raspberries, mint leaves and lime slices. Be sure to cut off the rinds of the lime because these will make the water bitter and undesirable. Squeeze on the lime a little also – show it how much you love it.  Allow to sit for at least an hour, then add fresh ice as desired.

The mint contains menthol, a natural decongestant. Mint also aids digestion. The raspberries and limes are an excellent source of vitamin C which helps support healthy skin and promote healing. Frankly, they just taste good together.
