Sometimes one accent nail isn’t enough! This quirky nail look was inspired by a brown floral skirt I was wearing to a get-together. I paired the skirt with a simple brown t-shirt and flip flops because it was a very casual affair. I wanted some pizzazz to my nails. Especially since I was likely to have a frosty beverage in my hand for most of the evening.

I started with a base coat of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure – Commander In Chic to my pinkies, index fingers and thumbs. I painted my middle finger with essie -Eternal Optimist. Once the Commander In Chic was thoroughly dry on my index finger I added polka dots with the Eternal Optimist. On my ring finger I painted a base coat of Orly Epix Flexible Color – Overexposed and then added brown floral decals from my Kiss Nail Artist Collection. I put a top coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Strength No Chip Nail Color in Brilliant Blush so that the white wasn’t too stark. It had more of a softening effect than the above picture reflects.
To protect the nails from chipping I finished by putting a top coat of Revlon Colorstay Nail Enamel Top Coat on all of the nails. I can’t oversell a good quality polish as a base and a top coat. I find if I use them the manicure lasts at least a week without chipping – often longer.
