Tiffany Blue

I learned two things today, one is that butterflies taste with their feet, the other is that the Tiffany Blue hue is copyrighted and cannot be used by other companies to advertise or package. When I saw this Gumdrop shade by Orly at the store it reminded me of Tiffany Blue and I thought I’d give it a whirl. Normally I would pair it with white accents to connote the famous Tiffany box and white ribbon – but in this case I thought I’d try black instead. It seemed to go nicely with the aqua shade.  I call the look Tiffany Luxe.

Pedicure

After moisturizing my feet, trimming nails and managing cuticles, I started with two coats of Orly Nail Lacquer in Gumdrop on all toes except the fourth. With this brand I find I have to manage the amount of polish on the brush, it can be a little thick. But, if you control the amount of polish on the brush you’ll get very nice coverage and a smooth finish. On the fourth toe I used two coats of Maybelline Color Show Black Patent Nail Polish.

Once completely dry, I added some embellishments from a collection of Kiss Nail Artist Stickers, then followed up with a top coat to seal the decals and extend the life of the polish.
